Jim Fleming’s work focuses on civil litigation including personal injury, construction law, and insurance defense. Fleming brings more than 20 years of experience as a prosecutor and public defender, 6 of those as Chief Public Defender. He continues to practice in criminal defense. Fleming is a MN Law & Politics Super Lawyer. Extensive trial experience includes more than 100 trial-to-verdict jury cases. He has taught trial advocacy in Minnesota and across the United States. He is a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, Minnesota Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the Minnesota Association for Justice. On personal time he has been committed to youth development, particularly to the work of Mankato Downtown Kiwanis, League of United Latin American Citizens, Twin Valley Council Boy Scouts of America and the Mankato Area Ethnic Council.
